Post-Punk group Cortex, formed in 1980 in Göteborg, Västra Götalands län, Sweden. The group disbanded in 1987. Formed by Freddie Wadling, with a rotating line-up. They released a version of the well-known song "Napalm Sticks to Kids", a brutul portrayal on the use of napalm in Vietnam: "dropping frags on refugees... All the children they have burned... If one's pregnant it's two for one" - chemical weapon Napalm B - a jellied gasoline mixture, with polystyrene, benzene, and gasoline. Declared a war-crime since 1980, the US government extensively used this weapon during the Vietnam conflict, dropping 388,000 tons on Indochina between 1963 and 1973. (1) (2) (3) This song was thought to have been originally written and performed by US soldiers in Vietnam ("in-country"), such as by the First of the Ninth Chorus, a group formed by troopers of the 1st of the 9th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division, recorded on tape in 1970 at Phuc Vinh, in South Vietnam.
