About the artist
The Children were a Texas psychedelic band formed in San Antonio in the 1960s from the merger of two local groups, The Stoics and The Argyles. Their sole album "Rebirth" (Cinema Records / Atco, 1968) carries "Military School" as side B track 2, anchoring the identification; the documented lineup was Stephen Perron (vocals/guitar), Cassell Webb (vocals), Louis Cabaza (keyboards), William Ash (guitar) and Andrew Szuch Jr. A second album for Ode was never completed; the group disbanded in 1971, and Perron died in 1973.
