About the artist
Gerard Addat, French singer-songwriter born in Saigon, French Indochina, to a French father and Vietnamese mother; repatriated to France as an adolescent at Vietnamese independence and raised in foster homes (Marseille, Vouvray, Tours). A polyglot performer of French, Portuguese/Brazilian and international repertoire whose songs draw on his Saigon childhood ('Une ville lointaine (Dakao-Saigon)', 'Un beau jour de fete (Le Tet)').
