Annotation
Kentucky born country singer Troy Seals released the deeply emotional blue-eyed soul song "Mama Hold My Hand" (Rising Sons # RS-715). A soldier is off to war, presumably drafted, "to fight for his land". He is wondering "where am I going? When will it end?" As he waits for an army man to call his name to take him off to war, he cries out "mama, hold my hand", and ask her to say goodbye to his father, because he would not want to "see his big boy cry".
