Annotation — European Songs
Finnish Folk Pop group Meripioneerit, influenced by the Nueva canción latinoamericana movement which developed in Latin America in the 1960s, usually with leftist political and social messages. This group formed and disbanded in 1972, and this was there only record (Love Records # LRLP 63). The title translates as "Vietnamese Birds", with the front cover displaying images of doves. Album arranged and produced by Kaj Chydenius. Songs included "Nukkuvat Vietnamin linnut" ("Sleeping Vietnamese Birds") and "Lähtekää jo, amerikkalaiset" ("Leave Already, Americans"). All songs on the album are Vietnam-related.
