Last Letter Home (Blackwood Singer, The) Country gospel. Patriotic, religion. Anti-protest / demonstrations. Dedicated to soldier who died in the war. Narrated the soldier's last letter to his parents. The back of the LP, titled "Last Letter Home" it said: "We, the Blackwood Singers, dedicate this album in loving memory to a former member of our group, Sgt. Ike Hall, who was killed in action in Vietnam. Sgt. Hall had only twenty days left in his Vietnam Tour of Duty. He would then have been home to enjoy his freedom that you and I so graciously enjoy here in America - the freedom for which he and others have so valiantly fought and died. Not only do we dedicate this to Sgt. Hall, but to every "red blooded" American that has made the sacrifice for their God, their Country, and for you and me". (1)

Unknown - "Last Letter Home" b/w "Just A Closer Walk" was issued by a group billed The Blackwood Singers on Sumar Records (SLP-4312A, gospel/country). Distinct from the Blackwood Brothers Quartet gospel dynasty, and also distinct from a separate "Last Letters Home" (plural) release on Skylite/Starday - three entities not to be conflated.
