Annotation
The song "Just Remember Me" by the Creations (Globe Records # C 102), a Chicago soul group, whose members were Eugene Amos, Charles Boyd, Gerald Dickerson and Michael Wiggins - the final three went on to form The Contributors of Soul. They also worked with the Detroit soul group Brothers of Soul (who released a Vietnam War song a few years later in 1969 - "Wait for Me"). This song told the story of a soldier on his way to Vietnam: "the boys in Vietnam are waiting for me to come". The new soldier asks his sweetheart not to forget him, and that it is better if they remain just friends because "I may never see you again". However, he does not know this for a fact, so just in case, he pleads with her to "remember me".
