About the artist
Jimmy Curtiss (born James Martin Stulberger in 1940; died 2 February 2022) was a New York singer, songwriter, producer and label owner, active from the late 1950s, who fronted the Hobbits and the New Hobbits and founded Perception Records in 1969. "Johnny Get Your Gun", which he co-wrote with the rock writer Bruce Pollock, was issued under the initials 'J.C.' on Perception P-2, backed with 'For What I Am', and also appeared on the label's first LP, 'J.C. - Life'.
