About the artist
Jimmy Thomason (born in Waco, Texas) was an American country fiddler, singer and bandleader who worked in Texas western-swing outfits from the late 1930s - including sessions with Doug Bine and His Dixie Ramblers and with Slim Harbert and His OKeh Boys - before moving to California, where he recorded for King between September 1952 and January 1953 and for Vita in November 1956, and became a regular on the television programme 'Homefolks' on KERO-TV in Bakersfield.
