The Dead Kennedys - a Hardcore Punk band formed in 1978, in San Francisco, California. The song "Holiday in Cambodia" (Optional Music # OPT-4), composed by Jello Biafra and John Greenway centred on the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime, led by the Pol Pot. The lyrics criticised Western students, comparing their lifestyle with the Cambodia regime. The official video of the song contained images of the US Airforce dropping napalm bombs over eastern Cambodia, in Operation Menu (8 March 1969 to 26 May 1970), part of the Vietnam War and the Cambodian Civil War - chemical weapon Napalm B - a jellied gasoline mixture, with polystyrene, benzene, and gasoline. Declared a war-crime since 1980, the US government extensively used this weapon during the Vietnam conflict, dropping 388,000 tons on Indochina between 1963 and 1973. (1) (2) (3)
