This had a very different sound, mainly in the garage rock genre, rather than the slow country style of Johnnie Wright. It also did not include the spoken word extract. Ray Hildebrand (Raymond Glenn Hildebrand, born 1940 in Joshua, Texas - birth date given as November 21, 1940 by his funeral-home obituary and December 21, 1940 by a Legacy.com obituary) is best known as "Paul" of the duo Paul & Paula, whose "Hey Paula" (co-written with and performed alongside classmate Jill "Paula" Jackson at Howard Payne College) hit No. 1 on Billboard in February 1963, followed by the Top Ten "Young Lovers."
