About the artist
J.T. Sears and the Rowbux were a Cincinnati group active from 1966 to 1969. J.T. Sears had been the original lead singer of Cincinnati's the Legends, who became the Casinos, and on leaving them he joined a working local band, the Matadors, the combined act taking a name punned phonetically off Sears Roebuck. They played clubs across Cincinnati and northern Kentucky, cut sides for Saxony Records that went unreleased when the label ran into money trouble, and then recorded for Bobby Bobo's Boone label of Union, Kentucky, earning local and regional airplay.
