About the artist
"The Draft" b/w "Irresistible You" (Panorama 36, 1966) is by the Seattle, Washington garage band led by Tom "Thumb" Blessing (sax/guitar), per the Pacific Northwest Bands archive (middle tier): active 1963-65, debuting on Seafair-Bolo before Jerry Dennon's Panorama, with Scott Letterman, Jim Wolfe and others passing through. Blessing and bassist Larry Evans were killed in a vehicle crash en route to a Richland, Washington show in 1965; the Panorama single is dated 1966 - possibly posthumous, recorded as fact.
