About the artist
Jeb And Cousin Easy were an American country-comedy duo made up of the husband and wife Cal Nelson and Virginia Nelson, billed as the King and Queen of Country comedy, who cut a long run of live novelty 45s and albums for the Par and Par T labels of Crowley, Louisiana from the late 1960s; they were a fixture at the El Toro Lounge in Crowley, where the Post-Signal advertised them in August 1968 as 'one of the top comedy teams in the country', and their photographs are preserved in the Cajun humorists series of the Edith Garland Dupré Library at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
