About the artist
Bob Frank (1944-2019), born in Memphis, Tennessee, was a folk singer-songwriter whose self-titled 1972 Vanguard debut - including 'Cold Canadian Pines' - became a cult collector's item (reissued by Light in the Attic, 2014); after decades in Oakland, California he returned to recording around 2000, and died in 2019 at his home in El Sobrante, California.
