About the artist
Jazz ensemble formed in 1974 and led by trumpeter Hannibal Marvin Peterson (later Hannibal Lokumbe; born Marvin Peterson, 11 November 1948, Smithville, Texas), who moved to New York City in 1970 and played with the Gil Evans Orchestra.
