About the artist
George Ellis McCannon III (born 30 January 1941 in Winsted, Connecticut; died 16 October 2015 in Largo, Florida, aged 74) was an American singer and entertainer with a career of more than forty years. A rich-voiced baritone, he recorded and performed across the United States and Canada, performed with, emceed and managed Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars in the 1960s, and worked extensively in radio and television commercials; he lived in Avon, Connecticut before retiring to the Tampa area in 2010.
