About the artist
Brenda Duff, billed on record as Little Brenda Duff, was an American deep soul and gospel-inflected vocalist active from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. She was the first wife of the Birmingham-born soul singer Don Varner (1943-2002) and shared his first recording session for the producer Art Grayson, cut at Rick Hall's FAME studio; she recorded again in Muscle Shoals in the early 1970s under the producer David Johnson, those sides remaining unissued until Charly UK released them on LP in the late 1980s.
