The song "My Fellow Americans" (Mums Records # ZS7 6028) was a narration by Abbott Vaughn Meader impersonating John F. Kennedy, who read out the names of influential Americans, including a diverse field, such as George Washington, Crazy Horse, MLK, RFK, and Daniel Ellsberg, with fanfare, military march background music. Released for the US Bicentennial. The A-side track, "The American Spirit", took a patriotic stance, referencing war and peace, the assassination of JFK, and the song "Eve of Destruction" by McGuire: "this is not a nation on the Eve of Destruction, but a nation on the morning on triumph".
