Hardcore Punk group White Pigs, which formed in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, in 1980. The song "A.P.O.W." (SS7 ep 226) - standing for American Prisoners of War, is a P.O.W. song. It started with a military cadence, "Johnny said he was your friend, now he's got your girlfriend in bed", and then it moved straight into a high speed guitar rhythm, only broken toward the end of the song, to play a distorted version of the American anthem. The lyrics told of "Johnny going to Vietnam", who is then captured by the Viet Cong. The final verse said that "another US soldier dead".& Vietnam War: Punk Songs
