Ramones - one of the most influential American punk rock bands, formed on 27 January 1974, in Queens, New York, USA. They released their first album in 1976, which included the Vietnam War-related song "53rd and 3rd" (Sire Records # SASD-7520). The members of the band on this album were Joey Ramone (vocals), Johnny Ramone (guitar), Dee Dee Ramone (bass, vocals), and Tommy Ramone (drums). The song told the story of a Vietnam War veteran, a former Green Beret, hanging out at a well-known spot for male prostitution in New York, called the Loop.
