About the artist
American guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer from the Washington, D.C. area (b. 9 February 1952), a fixture of the D.C. roots scene who took lessons from Doc Watson, Joe Pass and Chet Atkins, backed Kate Wolf and later Nanci Griffith (slide guitar on the Grammy-winning 'Other Voices, Other Rooms'), and since 1992 has recorded as half of the folk-rock duo The Kennedys with his wife Maura.
