Credited as Morgenrood Rotterdam zingt o.l.v. Ton Beckers · 1973 · Album · Morgenrood # 6810 184 · Rotterdam, Netherlands · Voor Vietnam

Morgenrood 6810 184 (Stemra; stereo-mono LP; Productie R.A.Z. Morgenrood ten bate van het Medisch Comité Nederland-Vietnam), "Morgenrood-Rotterdam zingt voor Vietnam": the Rotterdam socialist choir Morgenrood (mixed choir, solo voice Rien Kroon) with its own wind band under Ton Beckers; recorded by Gilius van Bergeyk and Bob Zimmerman; typed lyric insert. The sleeve note: the war that has ravaged Vietnam for more than twenty years has entered a new stage now that the Americans, through Vietnamese resistance and the pressure of mass movements, have been forced to withdraw from Indochina (→ 1973); everyone who protested the American aggression must now support the reconstruction, and this record is one such means — its songs and instrumental pieces express the performers' commitment to solidarity and a new society without exploitation, the wiping-out of villages and towns, or napalm. Side 1 track 5, music Gilius van Bergeyk, words Piet Bossers; text on the insert: for many years the people of Vietnam have fought for freedom, unbroken, for independence against Japanese, French and Americans; a whole generation knows nothing but war — when will women and children live without fear of bombs, napalm and minefields? Fear will vanish when we in our country help and support them in their struggle: Vietnam one and in its own hands — it is time for solidarity; Americans, go home to your land, vanish at any price, then at last happiness will come to Vietnam.
