Notes
The song "Uncle Sam" ( Epic Records # KE-32192) by Bob Luman. Composed by Glenn Sutton . Country. Patriotic. Criticism of the anti-war movement, demonstrators. Referenced World War I and II. "I've been mighty lucky I've had lots of good things come my way And I never could have done them in any country but the USA And I pledge allegiance to the flag and when the anthem's played I always stand And it burns me up to see the way some people try to make fun of my Uncle Sam Uncle Sam you're more to me than just a drawin' That came from some commercial artist's mind And the phrase I want you means you got me And I'll be proud to serve you anytime Yes I love that precious lady who holds the torch of freedom in her hand Yes I'm proud to be American and most of all to have an Uncle Sam Let's stand up and be counted like our fathers did in World Wars I and II And if you've just got to carry signs…
