Lyrics

English: "Far off Vietnam, here for you and me, this lad came to fight, justt to keep us free / Had no time for fun, no time to laugh or cry / The only thing he really had was time enough to die / The 25th division with prayers and battle songs pushed off into the country to fight the Vietcong / The new kid in our outfit spoke of dad and mom as we fought a war to keep man free in far off Vietnam / He hugged the ground befroe him, to scared to even cry / He said he never cared to fight but he would surely try / We couldn't see the enemy but we knew he was there, behind the trees and bushes, as bullets filled the air"
