Annotation — Bruce Springsteen Songs

The song "Brothers Under the Bridge", as above, was also featured on Tracks (Columbia Records # CXK 69475) - a compilation of archival, mainly never released songs, recorded during album sessions. Note: this is different from the song "Brothers Under the Bridges '83", which also featured on this compilation. This again looked at the plight of the Vietnam veteran: "Saigon, it was all gone... I come home in '72". The narrator recalled his friend's death, and its impact on his family: "come Veterans Day, I held your mother's hand when they passed with the red, white and blue".
