Annotation — Mexican-American / Hispanic Songs

Psychedelic rock Mexican-American group founded in Texas, said to have recorded this album in one 10-hour session in San Antonio, TX, featuring Eugenio Jaimez, Sonny Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, and Carlos Salazar. Lead singer Eugenio Jaimez, from Cotulla, TX, where President Lyndon B. Johnson once taught at the Welhausen Mexican School, was wounded in the Vietnam War. Now living in Loredo, Texas, he described the album as a: "remembrance of a hellish war that many of our brothers met with by chance".1 The album started with describing his agricultural background with "Work Your Hand to the Bone", on to serving in the Vietnam War with the track "Pleiku", and then returning to the US with "Going Home".Sources1austinchronicle.com: El gusano fantasia del barrio↩
